aP. De Castro is a licensed chemical engineer with more than 13 years of work experience covering a wide range of responsibilities from academe as an instructor, as a research and process engineer in a multinational company based in Japan and USA, and as a production and process improvement manager in a manufacturing environment. His research interest includes microbial fermentation, electroplating, optical fiber, lasers, passive and active optical devices, thin film coating and catalysis. He is presently an IP representative of the chemical engineering department. He received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Philippines Los Baños cum laude.
