Asst. Prof. Arocena is a chemical engineer with major in sugar technology and minor in food science. His research interests are in wastewater treatment and utilization of agricultural crops and wastes for the recovery of high value products or in materials development.
Research Interests:
- Wastewater treatment – adsorption, photocatalysis, electrolysis, use of electrolyzed water, solidification/stabilization
- Utilization of agricultural wastes
- Recovery of high-value products from agricultural crops
- Fermentation
- Design and Fabrication
- Biogas production
