The UPLB Department of Chemical Engineering is celebrating the 38th Anniversary of the Institution of the BS Chemical Engineering curriculum on March 7, 2023. In line with this, our department, through the Socials and External Affairs Committee, will hold activities this March that highlight the sharing of intellect, camaraderie, and recognition of its constituents. The activities are open to all UPLB-DChE constituents – faculty and staff, students, and alumni. The department will host the following events, in collaboration with UPLB Society of Chemical Engineering Students, UP Alliance of Chemical Engineering Students, and PIChE Laguna Chapter.
DChE Webinar Series: Navigating the Role of Chemical Engineering in the Age of Information Technology (Online)
A weekly event that aims to provide a discourse on perspectives in strengthening the direction of chemical engineering education, research, and academe-industry linkage. Our webinars will be conducted via zoom. Keep posted on our department’s FB Page for weekly updates of our line-up of resource speakers, registration links/codes and schedules!
ChElympics (Online and Face-to-Face)
Faculty-student mixer event where camaraderie and relationships among DChE faculty, staff, and students will be developed and strengthened through online and face-to-face competitive games and team-based contests.
Ultimate ChEllenge VIII (Face-to-Face)
Chemical engineering quiz contest hosted by UPLB Society of Chemical Engineering Students
